Our group’s Hawaiian name, Keaholoa, is a double entendre meaning both, “the long fishing line” and “the long breath.” And like the deep-sea fisherman that inspire our inoa Hawaii, we seek the lonely spaces, casting long lines into the deepest waters searching for opportunities that will sustain our people. We understand that investing for the long-term — taking a long breath to venture deep — is essential to the life and health of the lāhui (Native Hawaiian people).

The Investment Management Group reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Kamehameha Schools. We have autonomy to operate within the strategic policies set by the Kamehameha Schools Board of Trustees.
Additionally, the Investment Management Group and the Kamehameha Schools’ Board of Trustees benefit from the counsel of an Investment Advisory Committee comprised of two Trustees and seven external advisors.
